Trinity Community Arts

The Trinity Anthem was written and produced by Adrian Utley and John Parish to raise money towards the essential repairs needed to the iconic Trinity Centre, Bristol. The Anthem was performed and recorded live at the Trinity Centre on Tuesday 4th April 2017 by Adian Utley, John Parish, Stig Manley, Hazel Winter, Alex Vann, Alex Lee, Alex Hogg , Ben Shillabeer, Deej Dhariwal, Charlie Romijn, Jim Barr and Tim Allen - our sincere thanks go to all of the musicians who contributed to the recording and performance The Trinity Centre is a 186 year old, Grade II* listed Georgian church building, and is a renowned live music venue that has hosted a plethora of artists, musicians and bands since 1976. The building has a unique and rich musical heritage, and was the 'bedrock venue' for the early Bristol Sound of ska, reggae and punk in the 70s and 80s, and became the cornerstone of the 90s Bristol Sound revival of trip-hop, with bands such as Massive Attack and Portishead performing in its Main Hall. For 26 years the Trinity Centre has been home to Trinity Community Arts, a charity that provides opportunities for the local community to engage with and influence the arts, including a successful Youth Music training Project that enables young people to access music tuition and therapy, often at very critical times in their lives. Donations from the Trinity Anthem will support the £750,000 cost of essential repairs to the iconic Trinity towers and the building, including the long-neglected but beautiful stained glass windows. You can support Trinity's Conservation project by text ROOF31 £5/£10/£20/£50 to 70070, or visit www.3ca.org.uk/about/support-us A limited edition of 10 12" vinyl dub-plates will be made available for purchase - visit www.3ca.org.uk for more information Special thanks to Adrian Utley and John Parish for their long-term support, and sincere thanks to Shawn Joseph (www.optimum-mastering.com), Henry Bainbridge (www.dubstudio.co.uk), John Minton (www.mintonfilm.co.uk), Stef Hambrook (http://www.toyboxstudios.co.uk/), Ali Chant (www.alichant.com).
